A. You can cook essentially every type of grain in the nutribullet® EveryGrain™ Cooker. The machine features preset settings for white rice, brown rice, oats, and quinoa, plus a catch-all “grains” program for more exotic selections: buckwheat, farro, wild rice, and more.
*1 scoop refers to the measuring scoop that’s included with the nutribullet® EveryGrain™ Cooker. 1 scoop is equivalent to ¾ cup of rice, quinoa, oats, or any other grain.
Once you add the correct ratio of grains to liquid to the cooking pot, you will select your grain mode, then select “Start”. The display screen will light up with a cascade of lines to indicate that the cooker has begun its cooking program and is in the cooking process. Once the machine senses there are 10 minutes left in the cooking process, the cooker will beep and a countdown timer will appear on the display. At the end of this 10 minutes, the cooker will beep again, indicating that the grains are fully cooked.
After the cooking program completes, the EveryGrain™ cooker automatically enters a ‘Keep Warm’ stage for up to three hours, ensuring your finished grains stay warm until you are ready to enjoy. When in the ‘Keep Warm’ stage, the cooker display will count up, indicating the amount of time that has elapsed since the cooking program has completed.
A. No, the lid is not fully removable, however, it does open to a 90-degree angle, giving you plenty of room to thoroughly wipe down its underside. Both the Cooking Pot and steam vent plug are removable for cleaning.
A. If you’re concerned about drips, you can line your steamer basket with aluminum foil or parchment paper before adding it to the cooker. Make sure to poke a few small holes into your foil/paper “shield” to allow steam to pass through to your ingredients.
